Last night, after dinner the amazing one and I let the dogs out and continued our champagne drinking. At some point CocoaBean took off from the backyard. So the Amazing one goes out front to try to track her down and comes back in to let me know there are cop cars all over the place outside.

Upon further investigation, I see that there’s a city police car, a country sherriff, and a state trooper all pulled up outside my neighbors house. SWEET! The fact that I’m a little bit tipsy only makes this event more fun. the people next door are just plain weird, I’ve only ever seen them a few times, but it appears to be a father, his two daughters and one of the daughters kids living there. They are very rarely outside, and I never see people visiting them.

One night a few weeks ago they were having an argument in their house loud enough for me to hear on the far side of my yard, so I can only assume this was some type of “domestic disturbance”. After safely getting CocoaBean back in the house the Amazing One and i watched from the windows, waiting to see if anyone was brought out in cuffs.

Whatever it was it wasn’t bad enough for someone to be arrested, although one of them did leave the house with a police escort following them out.. I was not yet drunk enough to go find out who was left in the house after the cops left, or what the hell had been going on, but man I’m curious.

I should have invited the cops in for some cake..
