So because I’m always thinking clearly and never have enough to do, I’ve decided to tear up what was decent linolum in my guest bathroom and replace it with a tile floor. So far I have been able to remove all the old flooring and glue somewhat easily. With the help of Amazing one I also managed to get the toilet out (it’s now sitting on some towels in the spare bedroom, very redneck me thinks).
I’ve also been able to lay out for the most part the tiles that will compose the new floor. I need to go pickup another box of floor tiles currently, but then the plan for tomorrow is to actually get the tiles mortared down then grout them and have it all done this week. HA!
I’m sure in a few days I will be blogging about how I somehow managed to set my hair into the mortar underneath the tile and had to be cut out by the fire department. If nothing truly tragically funny happens I will be both shocked and amazed.
The redneck solution to the toilet would be this.
1. put it in the front yard.
2. put flowers in the bowl and tank.
Then it would be decorative AND functional!
