Amazing one found some blogs about fixing the sadIpod by actually dropping your ipod from about 3 inches up. I figured what the hell it can’t hurt, so I did. The first time the whiir beep got better, the whir went on for longer and the beep was no longer present. It still threw me the sad ipod though. So I did what any good engineer would do and dropped the damn thing again. For whatever reason this worked and now the ipod is functional again.

I would like to thank apple for designing something that is actually FIXED by dropping it twice. I think next time I have a broken server I’ll give that a try.
