There are a few commercials out now that are just freakin me the hell out. First the close up of the digital pregnancy test rotating thru the black background touting that it’s the most advanced thing you’ll pee on. This in and of itself is pretty uh bizzarre, but to actually show the stream of “pee” hitting the stick like it’s some sort of fucked up Mountain Dew commercial is what weirds me out.

The second commercial that is just a little much for prime time for me is the one with the woman getting all prettied up to go out followed by the voiceover guy who says “vaginal itch and odor have you feeling bad”. I have never in my life had a discussion with anyone about itch or odor and I have a damn vagina so I really don’t see why random voice over guy can yell about it from my TV. Commercials like this one in particular tend to lead to weird situations, like when your future mother in law is over and it’s just the two of you in the house. Your tivo flips it to the Kathy Griffen D list show where she’s screaming about hosting the gay porn awards, when your mother in law excuses herself to go to the restroom you take the opportunity to quickly change the damn channel. Soon as she came out of the restroom the next thing out of the TV speakers is “Vaginal itch and odor…” We pretended it hadn’t happened.
