Sarahspace had mentioned to me her great luck in putting books up for sale on the Amazon Marketplace feature a few weeks ago. I figured what the hell, it couldn’t hurt, after all they don’t charge you anything to list an item until you sell so really I had nothing to lose.
Last Saturday I put about 20 things up on my marketplace account (which is uber easy, you just plug in the UPC code on your book/dvd/cd and it finds it for you). Within a week I’ve sold 7 things (two books and 5 DVD’s) and have made a whopping $102 post amazon fees. This both shocks and amazes me. I was just screwin around to see if anything actually would sell. Next thing I know I’m going to the post office twice last week and will be again at least once this week to ship stuff out. Money gets automagically transferred into my bank account every two weeks and I am a happy girl.
Who knew people would want to buy my old shit. Now I am of course addicted though, I’m finding crap I don’t want anymore left and right. First I put up another big group of things to bring the total of items in my account up to about 50, tonight I just threw up a ton of old CD’s putting the total of items up to nearly 90. If everything listed sells I stand to bank somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000. Who knew I had $1000 worth of books and dvd’s and such just kinda laying around. If I REALLY wanted to push it I’ve got easily another two or three hundred things I could put up to sell.
One day A1 will come home and I’ll have sold every kind of media in the damn house.
