Today after having been sans power for nearly 48 hours thanks to what I’ve termed “Winter Thunder 09″ (another post on that later) I finally broke down and called our electric company to try to get some kind of ETA on when we may expect to have power back.

Without even asking where I lived the woman who I’m sure has answered only calls with this question for the last two days said “Anytime between any second now and the weekend”. That’s some friggen great ETA skills. She was kind enough to follow up with “Sorry I can’t give you anything better than that”. I had no proper response for that kind of broad estimate so I just thanked her kindly and hung up.
